Redbreast 12 yo Cask Strength Batch B1/12, 58,6 %

Review #20
Not very important, but what a lovely sound it makes when the cork pops off the bottle! The smell is very powerful. Malt, apples, hazelnuts and a hint of vanilla. Dried fruit as well and after a couple of minutes some citrus comes to mind. Lime mostly.

What an explosion of dried fruits mixed with the classic clean Irish taste! Fatty, oily, malty and spicy! Lots of oak and malt mixed with honey and vanilla.

The finish is just great as well! The fatty, oily feeling just stays in the mouth along with the dry fruits and sticky honey. What a great whiskey. Don´t be afraid of adding some water, but if you do, then leave the whiskey in the glass for a couple of minutes and let the whiskey settle. I will give this 90/100 (21/23/23/23).
