This Springbank is called ’A savoury experience!’ and
is made from Refill Ex-Bourbon Barrel. It resulted in 174 bottles. The smell is
very floral, but I also feel like I am in a butcher shop. Meet, like ham, but
after a couple of sips it is gone. The dominant on the nose is floral and some
oak notes.
The taste is very spicy. Jalapenos, black pepper, red
pepper, just a lot of spices in general. The finish is just a continuation of
the taste. I almost don’t get any sweetness.
This is good, but very different from other Springbank
whiskies. If you feel for a good old Springbank., this is not the whisky you
should choose. But if you are looking for a fun and different experience from
Springbank, this is it! I will rate this 90/100 (22/22/23/23).
