Brora 25 yo (1982/2008) 7th release, 56,3 %

This is a mix of bourbon and sherry casks, and there were only made 3000 bottles. This is number 2038. The smell is mostly classic sherry. Raisins, plums and dates. Some fruity sweetness in the end.

What a powerful dram! Dark - yet fruity sherry notes - and just a hint of peat. After the initial bomb, the finish is a dream. The dark fruits turn lighter, the honey sweetness appears and your mouth just want let this go!

This is much more than I expected. Much more taste and a lot less peat. Definitely not the kind of Brora intended to the blended market. I will rate this 92/100 (22/23/24/23).
