From a refill hogshead with cask number DL7920 comes
287 bottles. It is a part of Douglas Laing´s series Old Malt Cask. The smell is
very sweet. Sweet from fruit and pastry.
There are some fresh fruit in the taste like pears and
apples. In the finish it changes to more dried fruits. Especially raisins.
It is pretty simple, and not very challenging. Don´t
get me wrong, it is good, but it doesn’t take that extra step. You can give it
some water to open up for sweetness all the way around. I will give this 86/100
(22/21/22/21).
