This is a mixture of 35 bourbon barrels and 10 sherry
hogsheads. The spirit is distilled 31-12-1999 and 01-01-2000 (hereof the name)
and bottled in 2013. This is one of 7.800 bottles made. The smell is filled
with caramel, vanilla and citrus, with hints of dried fruits in the end. Very
mild for a cask strength whisky.
The taste is very powerful at first. Then some mild
dried fruits. The sweetness comes in the finish, where different types of
sugars come rushing in.
I don´t know which poor bastard distilled this the 1th
of January 2000, but I would definitely buy this guy a dram! Very well put
together. I will rate this 90/100 (22/22/23/23).
