This Springbank is only made from bourbon casks. 9000
bottles were made. The nose reminded me of spirit at first. Then barley, fresh
hay and grass, oak and very light peat behind the smell of lemons and the salty
touch.
Much more fruit on the palate. Still a bit rough
though, and still a lot of citrus notes and salt. Some light peat comes around
in the finish behind the citrusy and salty notes.
Fun and different Springbank. I feel like being on an
Island and the Highland at the same time. Definitely an outdoor whisky! I will
rate this 87/100 (21/21/22/23).
