This whisky is matured in American oak for 6 years and then finished in French
Oak NZ barrels. It is a blend of 30 % premium grain whisky and 70 % single malt
from Willowbank Distillery. Some creamy sweet vanilla, fruity notes and Toffifee
sweetness in the smell.
Fruity flavors explode in your mouth! Some barley and light oak as well.
In the finish you get some dried fruit and nuts. It lies so smooth in the
mouth!
Well balanced and (for me) surprising in the taste. The complexity is
good and you notice new stuff all the time. Only thing I could have wished for
is a bit higher ABV. I will give this 90/100 (22/22/23/23).
