This is a limited edition and is made from bourbon and
sherry casks. Only 9.000 bottles were made. It almost smells like blueberry
sorbet with nectar and fruity sweetness.
The taste is filled with classic sherry cask
expressions, but is still very fresh. Perfect match between bourbon and sherry
casks. The finish is a bit darker, but still you sense the light notes
underneath. It stays for quite a while, so thanks to Arran for not water it all
the way down to 40 %.
Very well put together, both in balance and
complexity. This would be perfect to an ice cream dessert. A whisky that just
gets better and better, so give it a couple of minutes to breathe. I will rate
this 91/100 (22/22/23/24).
