This is the ”Fill Your Own” from the Deanston
Distillery Shop. It is a single cask (amontillado sherry cask). It is light and
fruity and actually very mild on the nose even though it is 59,2 %.
There are lots of tannins and dried fruits in the
taste. A real oak cask influenced sherry bomb. The finish is very pleasant. The
fruit just treat your mouth and is mixed with honey sweetness.
It has great balance and great taste, but not that
complex. Water is also great with this whisky, but be very gentle as it drowns
very fast. I will rate this 89/100 (22/22/23/22).
