This whisky is called
“Breathe in long!” and comes from a refill ex-sherry butt. Only 416 bottles
were made. In the smell you get some very light dried fruits. Some vanilla
sweetness as well, but not much is going on.
More dark fruits in the taste. Some dark berries and burned sugar. In the finish you get some hints from the sherry influence, chocolate and mellow oak.
It is a fine and classic old Glen Grant. It is very light, so this sherry cask must have been used a couple of times before. Sitting in a leather sofa this is perfect. I will give this 89/100 (21/22/23/23).
