Ardmore 10 yo (2004/2015), SMWS 66.70, 62,5 %

Review #189
This whisky is called “Barbeque glaze” and comes from a 1st fill white wine hogshead. What a blast! Peat and sweet winey notes pampers your nose. Some dark berries at the end. Vanilla ice cream and cherry sauce would be perfect for this. But don’t forget the peat!

Lots of sulfur and tannins in the taste. Lots of fruits as well but actually not as much peat in the taste as in the smell. The finish is deliciously sweet with some and fruity and berry notes.

Another great whisky from Ardmore from a different type of cask. So different from the normal Highland, and though it is peated, nowhere near the Islay whiskies. A wonderful dram! I will rate this 89/100 (23/22/22/22).
