Review #191 |
This is
from the Dimensions series from Duncan Taylor. Cask strength, natural colors
and not chill filtered. Just like it is supposed to! It is from cask no. 7183
and is bottle no. 106 of 137. After a couple of minutes in the glass with a
lid, the smell just overpowers you. You don’t sense it is cask strength.
Marzipan, nuts, malt, grass, vanilla and nectar in the smell.
The taste
indicates more that it is a cask strength whisky, but actually not that much.
It is very sweet in the taste. Lots of vanilla, some honey and the oak
influence is great. Some light and sweet fruit appears in the finish. Like a
sweet pear, but with a bitter touch.
I really
enjoy the smell in this one. Leave it in the glass with a lid for a couple of
minutes, and then enjoy the flavors it has built up in the glass. Then repeat.
I could do this for hours! I will rate this 89/100 (23/22/22/22).
