Review #203 |
This is
batch #42 and it is bottled in 2012. It is strong on the nose, but just give it
some time to open up. You won’t regret it, but still don’t put your nose all
the way down in the glass! Creamy sweet fruitcake.
It is
feisty at first in the taste. After the first roughness lies, it gives you a handful of
fruits mixed with honey and light oak influence. Thanks to the high ABV the
finish just stays. A bit dry finish, but delicious!
As all
other A’bunadhs, don’t be afraid of giving it some water. Time and water is the
key words to this one. Once this is in order, the whisky really starts to open
up and let you separate the different flavors. I will rate this 89/100 (22/22/23/22).
