This
expression is from Oloroso sherry casks. It shows in the color which is very
beautiful, and the smell where some dried fruits is coming through. Some hints
of coffee and dark chocolate as well. You know that bitterness from some dark
chocolates with high cocoa concentration? Some of that as well.
Sweet
fruity and nutty notes at first in the taste. Then I get some soap notes… A bit
strange, but not outright bad. Some sweet sugar notes as well. I am glad they
kept this at 46 %, as it makes the finish long and warm.
Not the
best sherry whisky, but decent. I kept thinking about cake throughout the
tasting of this, so this would probably go great with a bowl of vanilla ice
cream! I will give this 83/100 (20/20/22/21).
