Glenturret, Sherry Edition, 43 %

Review #248
This is from the new range from Glenturret and this bottle is from batch number 1. The smell is fresh and malty with notes of dried fruits. There is a bit sharpness or bitterness to the smell though…

More dried fruits in the taste with some oaky notes. Some tannins as well, but in a scale where it is quite pleasant. The finish is medium long but full of dried fruits and the sweetness thereof. Ripe plums and dates.

A fine everyday sherry dram, but nothing too exiting. Give it some more years in the cask and bottle it at 46 %, I might be willing to come back. I will give this 81/100 (19/21/21/20).
