Jim Beam, Booker’s 7 yo, Batch 2015-02, 63,7 %

Review #242
This is named after Booker Noe, the former Master Distiller. It is from the bottling series Dot´s Batch. Powerful, yet very sweet in the smell. You get the usual burned oak and vanilla, but when the nose hairs is burned off some sweet notes of Christmas cake and some jelly notes appear.

First it just burns. After your mouth recovers from the shock, some black pepper notes appear with some wood, spices and burned sugar in the taste. What a great finish. I get some kind of candy notes. Gummi bears I think. Then the burned oak and vanilla sweetness takes over and just stays forever.

This is reviewed without water, but I will definitely recommend that you give it some. The strength is just too high for your mouth to comprehend all the flavors. I will give this 85/100 (20/21/22/22).
