This is
from the series “The Ultimate” and comes from a hogshead with cask number
100191. Only 283 bottles were made. Sweet vanilla and some light citrus in the
smell. It is very mild and not much is going on. There is not much wood
influence considering that it is 24 year old.
The oak is
a bit more present in the taste. Still not much for a 24 year old though. The
finish is just a continuation of the taste, but with some more oaky notes.
Slightly toasted oak. It lies good in the mouth with a medium length finish.
Not much is
going on here… It is a bit boring whisky in my opinion. It is a fine whisky,
and it definitely doesn’t hurt anyone, but the complexity is just too simple. I
will give this 81/100 (20/20/21/20).
