Ben Nevis 10 yo, 46 %

Review #343
I don’t think this needs a long introduction! The smell is full of sweet caramel with hints of peat. Some red berries comes forward as well and some honey surrounds it all.

Lots of flavors on the palate! The peat is more noticeable here. It got this rough coastal western Highland touch, which is quite nice. Some citrus and oranges appear in the finish. All of this is accompanied with some toffee and caramel notes.

I am very glad that they bottled this at 46 %. It brings the peat and roughness a bit more forward. This is very good quality, but it just got some notes I can’t get away with… Personal preference that’s all! I will give this 83/100 (21/20/21/21).
