Glen Moray 10 yo (bottled 2011), Chardonnay, 40 %

Review #358
This is from the series Special Reserve and it is Chardonnay cask matured. It is sweet and soft on the nose. Malted barley, vanilla, peaches, lemons and green grapes. Very easy on the nose and not much oak influence.

Sweet barley, coconuts and citrus in the taste. Hints of apples and pears and it just pretty much reminds me of summer! The finish is short but good. The sweetness stays in the mouth for quite a while though, and is general in focus. Both some fruity and sugary sweetness.

It is not very complex and the citrusy notes are quite dominant in the start, but let it sit for a while and the sweetness takes over. It is a very fresh and sweet whisky, perfect as a starter. I will give this 82/100 (20/21/21/20).
