Glenfarclas Team (bottled 2014), 46 %

Review #376
From the series ”The Legend of Speyside” for the German market, containing the three expressions “Team”, “Passion” and “Springs”. Only 6000 bottles of each were made. The smell is light, fruity and a bit citrusy.

More heavy fruit in the taste. Ripe plums and dried fruits. Some fruity sweetness comes forward and mixes with some citrusy notes. Medium finish that carry the dried fruits very well. It is very dry and the fruity sweetness is almost gone here in the finish.

Not a highlight moment from Glenfarclas. Young and not that complex, but a nice dram though. It seems a bit young, but it still packs a lot of flavours from the Sherry casks. It just don’t have that elegance and smoothness that Sherry maturation gives with more years in the cask. I will give this 82/100 (20/21/21/20).
