Amrut 4 yo (2009/2013), Single Cask 2699, 62,8 %

Review #419
This is from a PX Sherry cask. It is bottle #275 out of 311. First thought when I smelled this: Is this cask strength?? Yes! Above 60 %? Yes!! Heavy dried fruits and lovely PX sweetness. Oak and burned sugar as well.

Here the alcohol comes, but not too much! Dates, figs and wonderful oak influence in the taste. The finish is loooong and the dried fruits gets mixed with fresh plums. All the way through the taste and the finish some tannins lies in the background.

Amrut shows that the high angels share and high temperatures can compete with the good GlenDronach single casks. And this just made me love PX Sherry matured whisky even more! I will rate this 91/100 (22/23/23/23).
