Aultmore 12 yo (2004/2016), Gleann Mór, 55,1 %

Review #428
From the series “A Rare Find” comes this single Bourbon cask. Only 223 bottles were made. Green apples is the first that hits my nose. Then a sharp alcohol burn. Beware! Light citrus and vanilla as well. Considering the high ABV it is very light.

Things are starting to happen in the taste. Very full-bodied and some grass and hay joins the party. This really fills your mouth, and the finish is a bit sweeter but still with that grassy touch. Burned oak as well with some dried apricots in the background.

This is very thick and full-bodied, yet very simple. Luckily, the ABV is high, which gives it a lot of flavour and the possibility to play with water after your needs. I will give this 83/100 (20/22/21/20).
