Islay 10 yo, House of Malt, 43%

Review #437
A bottling by the shop House of Malt in Carlisle called “Secret Bottling Series”. Light sweet peat on the nose. Not much is going on, but it really doesn’t matter much here. Some grass and hay as well, with a little citrusy on the side.

Okay! Still light peat in the taste, but it is much more present! Some white fruits as well. Pears to be specific. The oak influence gets more noticeable in the finish with some vanilla sweetness. Don’t take too small sips, as it will get very watery very fast.

I would love to try this at a higher ABV. It is very simple, and with that low ABV it gets very watery very fast, and is, unfortunately, quite forgettable. It is still a nice dram though, and I will give this 80/100 (20/21/20/19).
