Irish Single Malt 13 yo #1, That Boutique-y, Batch #2, 48,4%

Review #570
This is batch #2 from That Boutique-y Whisky Company, and 2200 bottles were made. Oak, wood spices and dark chocolate in the smell. Sweet raisins and dried apricots. Over ripe pears and cherries. As you might have figured out, you can find quite a few things in the smell!

Loads of flavours comes rushing through at first in the taste. Burned caramel and again it is the wood spices I notice at first. Then the fruity flavours comes forward. Mostly dried fruit like raisins and apricots like in the smell. The finish is very sweet with the burned caramel mixed with fruity and sugary sweetness.

This is just very robust from smell to finish. Not a typical Irish dram, but better than many! If you like to nerd whisky, this is a good dram. You can really pick this apart and you will find new things from sip to sip. I will give this 84/100 (21/21/21/21).
