Glenfarclas 15 yo (bottled 2017), 46%

Review #623
A bit closed in the smell at first. After a couple of minutes it starts to open, and you get that classic Glenfarclas Sherry nose. Light liquid Christmas cake. Sweet raisins, hints of oak and just a hint of malted barley in the background.

Loads of flavour in the taste. The Sherry notes are all dominating. Raisins, dates and sweet honey with a touch of vanilla. The Sherry notes fades on to the finish and some orangy dark chocolate comes forward. Still very sweet, but with the fruity sweetness more dominant.

If you like your Sherry drams, and by God I do, this is for you! Fair age, fair ABV and best of all, a fair price tag! Just a quality dram right from when you nose it, to the finish is dying out. Be sure to give it some time in the glass to open up though! I will give this 88/100 (22/22/22/22).
