Bunnahabhain Mòine (Swedish market), 46,3%

Review #644
This is bottled for the Swedish market and said to be 6 years old. Sweet salty peat at first in the smell. It’s a bit dry, and some grassy and mossy notes comes sneaking in alongside some light citrus. White fruits in the end – especially apples.

The palate is more flavourful than I would have guessed! Peat and salt mixed with hints of citrusy notes in the taste. Some black pepper as well. Very sweet in the finish. Sweet desert-like pears and vanilla in the end.

It is not very complex and a bit young, but luckily Bunnahabhain bottle at, at least 46,3%, and that saves the whisky in this occasion. It works for me as a fine peated everyday dram, and the price is fantastic. I will give this 84/100 (21/21/21/21).
